Discover Li Rioni A Santiquattro

If you're looking for an authentic Roman dining experience, Li Rioni A Santiquattro is a must-visit spot. Nestled on Via dei SS. Quattro, 24, in the heart of Rome, this cozy restaurant delivers traditional Italian flavors with a modern twist, making it an ideal destination for food enthusiasts and locals alike.

The ambiance of Li Rioni A Santiquattro captures the essence of Roman charm. As soon as you step through the door, you're welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both homely and sophisticated. The rustic yet modern decor with wooden beams and soft lighting sets the perfect tone for an intimate dinner or a casual meal with friends. Located in the vibrant historic district of Rome, the restaurant offers a peaceful retreat, just a short walk from the bustling streets of the city.

The menu is a delightful journey through Italy's culinary heritage, with an emphasis on Roman classics. One of the highlights is their famous Cacio e Pepe-a simple yet flavorful pasta dish made with pecorino Romano cheese and black pepper. It's creamy, peppery, and perfectly balanced, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to traditional Roman recipes. For those craving something with a bit more flair, their Amatriciana is a must-try. This hearty pasta dish, made with guanciale (cured pork cheek), tomatoes, and pecorino cheese, offers a rich, savory bite that's simply irresistible.

Meat lovers will also appreciate the variety of meat-based dishes on the menu. The Saltimbocca alla Romana-veal topped with prosciutto and sage, then pan-fried-captures the soul of Roman cuisine. It's a comforting dish that brings together simple ingredients in the most delicious way. If you're feeling adventurous, the Abbacchio alla Romana (roast lamb) offers a tender, flavorful option that’s perfect for sharing with loved ones.

For those with a sweet tooth, Li Rioni A Santiquattro doesn’t disappoint. Their Tiramisu is a classic that stands out for its rich flavor and smooth texture. Made with just the right amount of espresso-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and cocoa powder, it's the perfect end to any meal. Another favorite dessert is the Ricotta Cheesecake, light yet creamy, making it a refreshing option for those who prefer something less indulgent but equally satisfying.

The service at Li Rioni A Santiquattro is friendly and attentive, with staff eager to ensure that every guest feels welcome. They take the time to explain the menu and offer wine pairings to complement each dish, which adds to the overall dining experience. The wine list is extensive, with a selection of local Italian wines from various regions, including reds from Tuscany and whites from Sicily. If you’re unsure what to choose, the staff is happy to provide recommendations based on your meal choice.

What makes Li Rioni A Santiquattro stand out among other Roman eateries is its commitment to quality and tradition, while also embracing contemporary cooking techniques. The kitchen is open, allowing diners to watch the chefs as they prepare each dish with precision and care. You can almost taste the passion in each bite, which reflects the years of experience and dedication the chefs bring to the table.

Another reason to visit Li Rioni A Santiquattro is its location. Situated in a quieter part of the city, it offers a perfect balance of being easily accessible yet far enough from the crowded tourist spots to feel like a hidden gem. Whether you're in Rome for a short visit or a long stay, this restaurant is a great spot to enjoy an authentic Italian meal while avoiding the typical tourist traps.

In terms of pricing, Li Rioni A Santiquattro offers good value for the quality of food and service you receive. While not the cheapest option in Rome, the portions are generous, and the flavors are well worth the price. Whether you're enjoying a casual lunch or a romantic dinner, the cost is reflective of the high-quality ingredients and the expertise that goes into each dish.

Overall, Li Rioni A Santiquattro is a restaurant that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Roman dining. From the flavorsome pasta dishes to the delectable desserts, it offers a taste of Italy in a charming, relaxed setting. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this spot is worth adding to your list of must-try restaurants in Rome.

  • Great atmosphere and food. Recommend the pizza and calzone which are Roman style and good options for vegetarian. Make a reservation to avoid long wait times.

  • Best meal we had in Rome, pizza was AMAZING, feels a good mix of Tourist and Locals, great value, service was a bit slow for the bill but was due to how busy they were!

  • Li Rioni lives and breathes pizza. This is pizza Rome style: a cracker‑thin, ultra‑crisp crust baked in a wood‑fired oven, topped with exactly the right balance of fresh tomato, cheese, and flavorful ingredients. Diners rave about how fresh everything tastes and how satisfying even the simplest Margherita can be. The vibe matches: warm, authentic, right just three blocks from the Colosseum. The owner actively mingles with guests, the staff is welcoming, and you feel instantly at home. If you go big with wine, pizzas, appetizersit still comes in around €30 each. If you keep it simple and go light, it’s around €10–15 for excellent pizza and maybe a carafe of house wine. This isn’t just a great pizza place. It’s a Rome memory waiting to happen.

  • Li Rioni was a great find in Rome. It's a short walk from the colosseum, and it is well worth it. We had the bruschetta and stuffed olives to start, and they were both lovely, fresh and very tasty. The pizzas are outstanding, really thin base and lovely, fresh toppings. We had a carafe of the house wine and could not believe it was only 9.50 euros for a litre. The cocktails were also lovely. Excellent service, very reasonable prices, and outstanding food. We will definitely return when we visit Rome again!

  • Best pizza in Rome. Delicious and excellent price. Ok wheelchair access - a small step to get in.

  • Super friendly service, great vibe, very clean, and most importantly- great food at a competitive price. We enjoyed the pizzas and appetizers. Can definitely recommend.

  • Great place. We just "walked in" and didn't regret it. Don't be discouraged by a bit of a wait. It is well worth it. Fantastic food, staff, and wine. Desserts to die for. I had three as I couldn't decide which one to go for . Very reasonably priced as well.

  • I was told to come to this pizzeria by a Roman woman and coming from the north, I prefer it thin and crispy rather than Neapolitan. It was a nice discovery! I truly liked the thin dough. Only thing: be ready to wait, the service is indeed not slow, but maybe not enough for the many customers they have.
